TREEFORT Music FeST
I volunteered at Treefort Music Fest in Boise, Idaho, a five-day festival featuring over 420 artists across multiple venues. I was assigned to support operations at three key locations: the Main Stage, Treefort Music Hall, and The Shredder.
My role was to assist the stage manager or the venue manager to ensure smooth transitions between performances and provide a great experience for artists and attendees. As a stagehand, I helped with artist load-ins, stage changeovers between sets, and equipment setup and breakdown. I worked closely with the stage manager to stay on schedule and be an extra hand when needed.
I also supported the venue manager by checking wristbands for VIP access and helping with promotional tasks like hanging posters across the festival grounds. Through this experience, I strengthened my ability to work in a fast-paced live music environment, collaborate with production teams, and adapt quickly to changing needs. This was my first time working a festival, and I was able to gain valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes operations.
